David Hoover, 67, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015. Born in Saltville, VA, he had been a resident of the peninsula for 38 years, where he retired as a Crane Operator at Newport News Shipbuilding, in 2005 after 37 years. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church. David was preceded in death by his parents, brother and great niece. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Sandi S. Hoover; sons, Tim D. Hoover, Mickey Hoover (Brandi) and Justin T. Kirby (Jessica); sisters, Glenna Prater (Dexter), Brenda Hoover and Carolyn Hoover; brothers, Jerry Hoover and Rodger Hall; and six grandchildren. The family wishes to thank, Donna Terry, Robin Smith and Ann Delahorne for all of their kindness care they gave to David.
