IN LOVING MEMORY OF
David Lee
Everette
April 16, 2017
Hampton-
David Lee Everette, 26, passed away unexpectedly April 16, 2017. He leaves behind his parents Marjorie and David Everette, brother Michael Everette, sister Natasha Sanders, nieces Alyssa and Kayley and nephew Hunter. He is also survived by his adoptive parents Shannon and Chris Jackson, brothers Richard Walton Harman IV and Robert Jackson, his sisters Ashley Proffitt and Jessica Jackson and his two nieces Sarah and Sophia. Lovingly remembered by his girlfriend Mariah Ivey and many dear friends to include Marc, Dallas, Jesse, Morgan, Brandon, Tim, Rob, Chrystal and family, Blaine and all of Northampton Crew. David Lee touched the lives of so many others as well.
David was a son, an uncle, a brother, and a best friend whom you could always count on. Jovial at times, his laughter was infectious. David could bring a smile to your face on your saddest days. He brought love to all who knew him. He was industrious, a people pleaser with a genuine heart of gold. He was a best friend to many, loyal, devoted, free spirited and a music enthusiast. Some of his greatest joys were spending time with his beloved nieces and nephews. Given the opportunity, David would have made a great father.
David was the perfect union of contrary things. Eccentric by nature with methodical tendencies. Uninterested in the opinion of others he had a style that was completely unique to himself and was almost always seen in a pair of work boots. Following in his father's footsteps, David Lee was a diligent worker. He always found solace in working with his hands and took pride in everything he built.
David Lee surrounded himself with the people that he loved and cared about. He enjoyed visiting family in West Virginia, camping and tubing down the James River, and becoming a sandman at the beaches of Hatteras, NC. He loved to sing karaoke with friends, bowling, going to concerts and cooking up concoctions. It didn't matter what he did, David just loved to spend time with his friends. He especially enjoyed the time he spent with his brother Ricky, playing video games, hanging with friends and settling into their new home. They even found comfort together in silence.
"Say not in grief he is no more, but live in thankfulness that he was" -- Hebrew Proverb
