IN LOVING MEMORY OF
David Michael
Beal
February 28, 2026
David Michael Beal (Dad, Mikey, Bubba, Beal), after a long battle with kidney disease, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Sentara CarePlex Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on September 28, 1970, in Palm Beach Florida, the son of David Beal and the late Margaret "Margie" Conway.
Michael enjoyed rock 'n roll music, reading, and cheering on the Washington Commanders, no matter what their record was. He was a quiet, gentle soul who never asked for much and found comfort in life's simple moments. At the same time, Michael was strong-willed, even a little hard-headed at times, and that determination became one of his greatest strengths. His stubborn resilience carried him through life's challenges and helped him fight as long and hard as he did. Those who knew him best understood that beneath his strong will and unapologetic commentary, was a tender heart, humble spirit, and an unwavering love for his children.
He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents Dollie and J.W. Beal; maternal grandparents Dorothy Monahan and Charles Monahan; and beloved mother, Margaret Conway. He is survived by his wife Jill Beal; children Lexi Gagne and Colton Beal; father David Beal; sisters Marie Avery, Shelly Conway Revels, and Bonnie Laine; brother Carson Conway; nephew Joshua Avery Jr.; nieces Kayleen Trevino, Megan Overman, Emily Laine, and Carly Conway; along with many extended family members who will miss him dearly.
To us, he will always be Bubba, gentle, kind, and quietly strong. A man who asked for very little but gave so much in return. His absence leaves an ache words cannot fill, but his memory will forever live in the stories we tell, the games we watch, and the songs on the radio.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 2PM-4PM, in the Temple Baptist Church Social Hall located at 235 Harpersville Rd., Newport News, Va.
