Yorktown

David L. Baillio, Jr, went home to be with the Lord on June 1, 2013 after a short illness with cancer. Born in Norfolk on July 6, 1956, he was the first born child and only son of the late David L. Baillio, Sr. and Ruth H. (Tootie) Baillio. He lived most of his life in Newport News but moved to York County in 2000 where he lived for the remainder of his life.

David is survived by his wife, Lisa F. Baillio; his daughter, Stacey B. White and her husband Kyle; two grandchildren, Gavin and Kyndle White; his daughter April L. Baillio; and only son, David M. Baillio; his mother, Ruth H. Baillio; four sisters, Julie Malish, Joan E. Ivey, Becky Cleghorn, Tammy Ngo, and their families. He had many cousins, nieces and nephews.

David worked all of his adult life as a skilled carpenter. He very much enjoyed fishing and being on the water. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends and being outdoors in his yard. He was loved and will be greatly missed.

R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home will be in charge of Davids cremation. A private service with family was held on Saturday, June 8, 2013. A gathering open to family and friends will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at 3 p.m. at the home of Ruth H. Baillio, 128 Lorna Doone Drive in Yorktown.
