Danny T. Johnson, 67, died Tuesday, June 3, 2025. A lifelong resident of Hampton, he retired from the Newport News Shipyard after 38 years of service. An avid online gamer, Danny also enjoyed woodworking, reading, building models, and spending time with his family and friends. He had recently begun building chicken coops and raising chickens, lovingly naming each one. Danny's legacy will continue with his generous gift of being an organ donor.

Preceded in death by his parents, Jefferson Theodore and Rivers Kathryn Mae Bulls Johnson, and two sisters, Judy Holland and Jane Jordan; Danny is survived by his brother, Larry Johnson and his wife, Janet; and eight nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 12, 2025, in the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home chapel.
