Obituary
Daniel Randolph Groome died on Friday, November 2, 2018 at home. He was borne on April 25, 1948 in Hampton, VA to Nelson Smith G
roome, Jr. and Vivian Lee Cumming Groome. Randolph was a life long resident of Hampton and graduated from Hampton High School, class of 1968. He served in the Army after
high school in Germany. Randolph was a confirmed bachelor and is survived by his brother, Nelson Groome lll, his sister Deborah Groome Wilkerson, and many nieces and nephews. Randolph was preceded in death by both parents and grandparents Nelson S Groome Sr, and Annie Vee Groome and Daniel Randolph Cumming and Anna Lee Cumming. Randolph enjoyed saltwater fishing and working on sailboats. After his military service he worked a variety of jobs involving both. Randolph was a true free spirit who lived his life on his own terms. He was dearly loved by his family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him and called him friend .
