Daniel Pierce Elliott, Jr, 88, was born January 13, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY, he passed peacefully on to our Savior on August 9, 2017. He moved to Hampton at a very young age and was a partner in the G.T. Elliott Inc. Seafood Company. He most enjoyed his model boat building and other woodworking. He has had his boats in a number of museums and been written up in a few magazines.

He is preceded in rest by his parents Daniel and Marjorie Elliott; his wife of 69 years, Helena. He is survived by his four children, Kathy (David) Gentile of Las Vegas, NV, Dianne (Talley) Cook of Scottsburg, VA, Carolyn Elliott (Jerry Kelly) of Yorktown, VA, Daniel (Terri) Elliott of Hampton, VA; a very special niece, Sharon (Jerry) Barbrey; five grandchildren, Cindi Brown, Dominique Scinta, Dan Elliott Jr., David Elliott, and Kristen Feury; seven great-grandchildren plus many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 am, Monday, August 14, 2017 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home with interment to follow in Clark Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 – 11 am.

In lieu of flowers a donation to Alzheimer's Research would be greatly appreciated.
