Daisy Bell (Moore) Campbell peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 25, 2016. Her wish to remain at home until the end was granted.
Daisy was born in Greene County, NC on October 12, 1920 to Heber and Lizzie Moore and had been a Hampton resident since 1955. She was a loving mother to five children.
Daisy supported numerous charities and tithed faithfully. She was a lifetime auxiliary member of the VFW Post 3219 and attended the Church of God Seventh Day in Farmville, NC.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Willie, sons Gene and Clarence Campbell, brothers Walter David and Henry Moore, sisters Magdelene Hardee and Janie Strickland.
Daisy is survived by a sister, Dicie Creech of Winterville, NC, two sons and a daughter; Ralph and Patti Campbell of Hampton, VA, Lester Campbell of Newport News, VA and Pansy and John Murray of Nashville, TN, , 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Sentara Hospice for the care and support they provided during her brief illness.
Family will receive friends from 4 – 6:00 PM Tuesday, November 29, 2016 and from 12:30 – 1:30 PM Wednesday, November 30 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 30, at Parklawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are by R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Avenue, Hampton, VA
