Daisy M. Lawson, 94, widow of John E. Lawson, died Wednesday, January 2, 2019. Born in Alberene, VA, Daisy had lived in Hampton since she was a child where she was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. After her children were grown, she worked as a cafeteria worker in the Hampton City Schools.

Daisy is survived by two children Judy Lawson Deuell and John F. Lawson; grandchildren, John S. Lawson, Michael S. Lawson, Christopher T. Deuell and R. Brandon Deuell; five great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 PM, Monday, January 7, 2019 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Ave, Hampton with interment to follow in Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday prior to the service from 1-2 PM.
