Cynthia Diane Matthews Beckinger, 60, passed away Wednesday August 5, 2015 with her husband and constant companion George Beckinger by her side. Born in Newport News, VA Cindee spent most of her adult life living in Hampton, VA near the water that fed her soul. She was preceded in death by her Grandparents Berkley & Sallie Williams, Lloyd & Louise Matthews and her Father, Lloyd Neff Matthews, Sr. Left with cherished memories are her Mother, Barbara Williams Matthews, husband Richard (Dick) Richards, Jr., Siblings: Lloyd Neff Matthews II, Thomas Clifton Matthews wife Martha, Kelly (Kelly Ann) Matthews Everett, Pamela (Pamilina) Gale Matthews husband Mike Foushee, Children: Heather Barbara Woods husband Kareem, Corbett (Cory) Patrick Morrison wife Heather, George Hanson Branch and Eli Joseph Branch. Grandchildren: Ryan, Riley, Jayden, Alexandria, Corben, Nadia, Eli Jr, Tatum, Regean and Arian, Great grand child Piper, her four legged companion Sallie Mae, as well the ones she referred to as her "almost a baseball team" of nephews: Chip,Kyle, Brian, Tyler, Jasen and Ian. She possessed a non-judgemental, caring heart, love for nature and any critter that crossed her path. Her love of flowers left her mark no matter where she lived and was only one of many of her creative talents. A Memorial service for family will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday August 8, 2015 with an open reception following for family and friends at Christ United Methodist Church, 133 Deep Rd, Newport News, VA 23606.
