Cynthia "Cindi" Kobs Briggs, 55, went to her Heavenly home, where she will join her mother, Erika E. Kobs, on Thursday, March 13, 2014. Born in Madison, WI, she has been a resident of the Peninsula over 40 years. She worked for Seaford Transfer and Storage Company.

Cindi is survived by her husband of 34 years, Allen J. Briggs, Jr.; sons and spouses, Derek R. and Jenny E. Briggs of Gloucester, Christopher P. and Katrina M. Briggs of Littlestown, PA, Brandon J. Briggs of Newport News, and Kenneth R. Hopkins of Newport News; father, Robert L. Kobs of Newport News; and six grandchildren, Lane Eller and Levi Reign, Abbie Ryan and Casen Miller, and Haley Mae and Joseph Collin.

Cindy was a loving wife, mother, and "Oma". She was very much the doting "Oma". Always ready to offer up the latest news on her precious gandbabies. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be conducted 5:00 PM Monday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Ave. in Hampton, 757-723-3191.
