NEWPORT NEWS – Curtis Clayton Carmean went to be with the Lord on November 18, 2016.  He is preceded in death by his father Stephen Carmean, his grandparents Curtis and Jo Ann Barbour and Alex and Marguerite Carmean, his uncle Michael Carmean, and his aunt Angela Carmean.  He is survived by his children Ava Carmean and Stephen "Christopher" Carmean, his mother Tracee Roberts and stepfather Woody Roberts, his uncle Patrick Carmean, husband of the late Angela Carmean, his aunts Pamela Carmean, wife of the late Michael Carmean, Julie Barbour, Vicki Drury and husband Robert, and Merri Relleva and husband Richard, as well as many cousins.  He graduated from the Warwick High School in 1999 and Hampden–Sydney College in 2003.  A Mass of the Resurrection was held privately for the family at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.
