Obituary
Cornell Cotton, 66, died Monday, March 21, 2016. A native of New Miami, OH, he had been a Virginia resident for the last 20 years where he had a very entrepreneurial spirit.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Avery L. Cotton Nord and Elijah Cotton, Sr. and his brothers, Elijah Cotton, Jr. and Gregory Cotton. Survivors include his daughters, Asya Cotton and Andrea Hill and her husband, Mark; his grandchildren, Mark Hill, Jr., Jayden Cotton, Jazlynn Cotton, and Julius Cotton; four brothers, Joseph Cotton, Kenneth Avery Cotton, Sr., Leonard Cotton, and Randall Cotton; and sisters, Jeanene Cotton and Cristie Prince. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Denise V. Cotton.
Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place,
Memphis, TN 38105 or the American Cancer Society, 11835 Canon Blvd., Ste A102, Newport News, VA 23606.
