Corey David Hunter, 34, passed away November 24, 2017. Corey had a passion for life and was known for being outgoing. He was a devoted father to his son Jayden, and showed his love for working with children through his coaching at the 757 Boxing Club. While he worked for a number of years as a waterman, his passion was promoting MMA fights.

Corey was preceded in death by his father William W. Hunter III. Survivors include his mother Linda L. Hunter; his son, Jayden Hunter; siblings, Erin Bailey and Ian Hunter; as well as a large extended family and countless friends who loved him dearly.

The family will receive friends at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home on Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 6:30-8:30PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 11AM at the funeral home.

The family requests that no flowers be sent for the service since there will not be an interment to follow. Instead memorial donations should be made to the GoFundMe account. Details are available through 757 Boxing Club or the family.
