Connie M. Holland, 89, joined her Savior on Monday, December 11th. She was born in West Virginia and had been a longtime Hampton resident. Connie retired from the Newport News Shipyard before devoting herself to the care of her late husband Harold Holland Jr. during his battle with cancer. They enjoyed 41 years of marriage. Connie was an active member of Liberty Baptist Church and loved to play piano by ear. Her children will remember her as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was always happy to bake pies from scratch for her family and friends. Connie was a talented gardener and loved her flower gardens.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Dewite Lloyd and Bernice Martin and husband, Harold Holland Jr.. She is survived by her children; Vanessa Kromer (Mike), Deborah Ford (Donald), Jeffrey Holland (Lisa), and Kenneth Holland (Rhonda); sister, Pat Maletesta; brothers, Jim Martin (Marsha) and Russell Martin; grandchildren; Amy, Jeremy, Ethan (Lauren), Elaina (Trevor), Brett, and Zachary; as well as her great-grandchildren, Lela, Payton, Delaney, Brody, Roy, Teagan, and Waylon.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Joe Hunt will be held at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 2PM. Interment in Hampton Memorial Gardens will follow.
