Colbert Scott (Col'beer) Wilson, 69, of Hampton, VA, passed away on January 12, 2024 after an extended illness. Born March 1, 1954, at old Dixie Hospital to proud parents Peggy and Taylor C. Wilson Jr.  He was a graduate of Hampton High School (72) and was a proud member of the Crabber swim, wrestling and golf teams.  He continued his education at Virginia Tech (VPI & SU to old schoolers) despite his father being a VMI alumni.  He loved the water, becoming a certified scuba diver and an avid sailor.  He most enjoyed teaching his nephews how to be a proper "sewer rat".

Colby is survived by his brother Chris, sister-in-law Brandy, younger brother Craig, nephews Taylor and Dewey and longtime companion Adreayn Swinny.

The activities Col'beer enjoyed most are legendary and will fill hours of conversation among his many friends.

The family will be at Chris & Brandy's house (3606 Spottswood Place, Hampton) on Jan. 19th from 5pm – 7pm to receive visitors.
