Clifford J. Bryan, 90, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2024, at his residence in Carrollton, VA. Born in Canton, GA July 2, 1934, he was the son of the late Earl Bryan and Ruby Bryan Gruhlke. Preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Kay Bryan; daughter, Karen Duncan; and brother, Dean Bryan, Clifford leaves behind to cherish his memories his daughter, Pamela Small; son, David Bryan and wife, Tracy; grandchildren, Jason and Tasha; great-grandchildren, Izaiah, Melina, Rachel and Danielle; great-great grandchildren, Kayden, Kayleigh, Nevaeh, Westley and Lainey.

Clifford was a proud member of the Air Force who enjoyed serving his country and went on to serve his community for 34 years as a fire fighter. He earned his pilots license and was passionate about not only flying but also building planes. He will be remembered as a "man like no other". A man who dedicated his life to hard work not only for himself and his family but all those who were around him. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home followed by a funeral with Fireman's Rites at 2:00 PM. Burial will take place at noon on Friday, November 1, 2024, in Mount Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Crimora, VA.

Memorial may be made to Children's Hospital of the Kings Daughters or the Food Bank of the Peninsula or Southeastern Virginia.
