Obituary

Christopher Columbus Mugler, 80, passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 in Roanoke, VA. A lifelong resident of Hampton, He moved to The Manor at Natural Bridge were he lived the last 5 years. He retired in 1968, from the Phoebus Station of the U. S. Post office as the Assistant Postmaster.

Christopher served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, American Legion Post 48 n Phoebus and the DAV.

Surviving are his children, Cynthia Anne Ackerman of Hampton and Christopher Charles Mugler of Auburn, WA; Brothers, Guy W. Mugler and Thomas A. Mugler, both of Hampton; five grandchildren, Holly Ann Ott, Jennifer Lavera Price, Darrel Christopher Mugler, Meagan Ann Seidnitzer and Cheryl Marlynn Douglas, and six great-grandchildren, Parker Ott, Henry Ott, George Price, Benton Price, Aiden Seidnitzer and, Jayce Seidnitzer.

The family will receive friends from 5-6:30 Thursday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home in downtown Hampton. A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday at Parklawn Memorial Park.
