Christa Burnham Mager, 76, passed away on March 15, 2025.  Born in Kassel, Germany she has been a resident of Hampton since 2006.  She was an avid artist having her own art studio and store in Occoquan and taught painting and other crafts.  Chris later worked at State Farm for many years and as a bookkeeper for Executive Floors in Woodbridge before relocating to Hampton.

Christa is survived by her husband, George J. Mager Jr; children Sandy Mager Craig (son-in-law Scott Craig) and William Gilmore Mager; grandchildren, Sydney Ditzler, Jordan Ditzler, Isabella Mager, Kyleigh Craig and Brennon Craig.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Ave. in Hampton.  The family wishes in lieu of flowers, any expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org.
