Cheryl Ann Whorrall, 60, died peacefully at her home in Waverly, Virginia June 9, 2018, surrounded by her family. Affectionately known as "Nana" to all who loved her, she fought a courageous battle with cancer for 15 years. Born December 13, 1957 to the late Ira Kubler and Peggy Ireland Kubler in Maryland, she called Sussex County her home for the past 41 years.

Nana loved flowers and liked to adorn her front porch with hanging baskets and pots, so she could enjoy the beautiful view. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, Nana and friend that had a heart to help anyone she could. Family meant everything to her and her grandchildren and great-granddaughter were her pride and joy.

Survivors include husband Larry A. Whorrall; daughters Melissa Askew (David) and Rachel Whorrall; son Paul Whorrall (Edith); sister Vickie Kubler; brothers Paul Kubler (Terry) and Freddy Kubler (Vicki); grandchildren Desirae Whorrall (Cody), Hunter Whorrall, Mya Dewalt, Jonathan Whorrall and Arabella Whorrall; and great-granddaughter Rylie Dillow.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 16 from 2 PM – 5 PM at the family home. All are welcome. Arrangements by R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home.
