Charlotte Pratt Johnson, 82, died Sunday, November 7, 2021. A native of Leburn, KY, she had lived in Hampton most of her life where she graduated from Hampton High School in 1958. She was an active member of Memorial Baptist Church for over 70 years where she served in the preschool area, on the food service committee, and with the Women's Missionary Union. She retired from Hampton City Schools as a cafeteria manager at Armstrong Elementary School. She was a member and past president of the Peninsula chapter of the School Nutrition Association.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vada and Clyde Pratt and a sister, Sue Keadle. Survivors include her husband, Clyde E. Johnson, Jr.; her sons, Clyde E. Johnson, III, Ronald Ray Johnson (April), David Wayne Johnson, and Kenneth William Johnson; three sisters, Janice McGrew, Vanessa Lee Pratt, and Vickie Marie Pratt; a brother, Clyde R. "Bobby" Pratt (Ruth); five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Lady.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2pm on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Memorial Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
