Charles Lee "CW" Winston, TSGT (Ret.), 82, left us to join his family and friends in Heaven, on November 29, 2015. Charles was born on August 31, 1933 in Eidson, Hancock County, Tennessee. Proud of his 40 years of service with the U. S. Air Force, 20 on active duty and 20 in Civil Service, he retired October 31, 1971 to reside in Buckroe Beach. He leaves behind to cherish his life his "bride" of 56 years, Joyce, daughter Lisa Hite (Tom) and sons Charles Jr. (Tammy), and Jeffrey (Michele); Grandchildren Cody (Alex), Brandi, Taylor, Charley, Thomas Hite (Crystal) and Madeline; two sisters, Joan Pressey and Johnnie Ryans, a brother Ray, along with many other family members and friends. Graveside services will be held with military honors on December 4, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Clark Cemetery in Hampton. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Buckroe Volunteer Fire Company, 2412 E. Pembroke Avenue, Hampton, 23664; First Fox Hill United Methodist Church Youth Fund, One Salt Pond Road, Hampton 23664 or a charity of your choice .
