Charles Clifton Wilson, Jr., 93, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015. A lifelong resident of Hampton, he retired in 1984 after 39 years of civil service at Langley Air Force Base. Charles served his country honorably during World War II in the U.S. Navy aboard a minesweeper and was in the forefront of the D-Day Invasion, June 6, 1944. He was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church. Surviving are his loving wife of 68 years, Patricia T. Wilson; sons and their spouses, Charles C. and Nancy L. Wilson, III of Isle of Wight and H. Todd and Camille F. Wilson of Madison Heights, VA; and grandchildren, Miles J. Wilson, William C. Wilson and Perkins C. Wilson. A graveside service will be conducted 1:00 PM Monday at Oakland Cemetery on Pembroke Ave. in Hampton. The family wishes in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters, CHKD.org. Arrangements are by R.
