Charles Quincy Tolbert, 44, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015. A lifelong resident of Hampton, he attended Phoebus High School and was a carpenter. Charles was survived by his sister, Charlotte Tolbert Smith of Hampton and brother, Thomas Ashley Tolbert of Ohio; aunts, Shirley Lindsay of Yorktown and Carol Pindar of Mahwah, NJ; and nephews, Alexander C. Smith and Leland T. Smith. A memorial service will be conducted 6:00 PM Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Harbor Pointe Community Church, 351 E. Mercury Blvd. in Hampton. The family wishes in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
