Charles E. Taylor, 87, died Sunday, February 10, 2019. Born in Hinton, WV, Charles graduated from Waynesboro High School in 1949 and the Jefferson School of Commerce. He then joined the USAF serving a tour and then worked for T. Parker Host retiring as VP of Import Traffic. Charles was a member of Central United Methodist Church, the Exchange Club of Wythe and the Hampton Elks Lodge.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Jane Taylor who he has now joined in Heaven. He is survived by his daughters, Pamela Anne Morris and Jill Taylor Wentzel (Michael); grandchildren, Valerie M. Steely, Leonard W. Morris III, Taylor Wentzel; great-grandchildren, Karina Morris, Lily Steely and Luke Steely.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 pm, Friday, February 15, 2019 at Central United Methodist Church with interment to follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4-6 pm at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Ave, Hampton.
