Charles T. Solomon, 85, died Wednesday, December 6, 2023. Born at Barksdale AFB Louisiana, he was a longtime Hampton resident and a 1957 graduate of Hampton High School. An Army veteran, Mr. Solomon went to work for the civil service at NASA, retiring as a Machinist in the Glass Lab in 1995 after 37 years of service. He was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, was a former Scout Master of Boy Scout Troop 29, and was a member and Past Exalted Ruler of the Elks Lodge #366.

Preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Solomon and sisters, Ethel Marple and Collette Boston; survivors include his children, Allen (Susan) Solomon, Katherine (Ronald) Alston and Dennis Solomon; three grandchildren, Elizabeth and Lawson Condrey and Troy Alston; one great granddaughter, Mae Condrey; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on January 13, 2024 at First Presbyterian Church in Hampton.
