Charles H. "Chuck" Clement, Jr. went to be with his heavenly Father on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. He was born in Hampton and was a lifelong Peninsula resident. A Master Shipbuilder, Chuck, had worked for the Newport News Shipyard for 43 years. He enjoyed fishing and crabbing and was always willing to help others. He looked for the good in every situation and encouraged everyone to do the same. He was an active member of Bible Way Fellowship and enjoyed giving Gideon Bibles to people whose paths he crossed. He was a true servant of God.

A loving father, grandfather, and brother, he is survived by his daughter, Julianna Hartley; his son, Charles Clement; his granddaughters, Cadence and Kynlee; his sister Loraine Baxter and her husband, Clifford; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12-1PM Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home with a funeral service beginning at 1. Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens. The funeral may be watched live by clicking HERE after 12:55pm.
