Chari died August 17, 2013. She was born January 13, 1937 in Newport News, VA and lived there and in Hampton, VA all of her life.

She was predeceased by her parents James and Ethel Boice Drummond. Survivors are her sons John and Neil Norton; brother James W. Drummond and wife Cathryn of Hudgins, VA; nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Chari was a faithful member of Langley Baptist Church which she loved.

The family will receive friends Thursday, August 22, 2013 At Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions, 2609 Cunningham Dr., in Hampton from 12:00-1:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. conducted by Pastor Jud Nuckols.
