Catherine Rose Rendon, known as "Kay", passed away Saturday, January 31st 2015, surrounded by family. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, she had been a Hampton resident since 1962, and had retired in 1988 from US Civil Service at Ft. Monroe, VA after 25 years of government service. Mrs. Rendon was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where she participated in many volunteer services. She was, at one time, a member of the Happy Wanderers, the HELP Organization, and was a WIBC member for many years. Catherine is survived by her children: Concetta, Michael, Ricardo, and Lupita; her in-laws: Rita, Beth, Ray, and John; and nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, David Bojorquez, and niece, Vickie Bojorquez Mesa from Whittier, California, nieces Kim and Angie, and nephew Tony of Jacksonville, Florida. We would like to thank her friends at Immaculate Conception Church who were a big part of her life and brought her great joy. The family will receive friends at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on February 4th from 3:00 - 3:30PM, followed by Mass Of Christian Burial and a reception. A private funeral liturgy will follow the next morning at Parklawn Cemetery.
