Catherine Clancey Maher, 95, passed away April 4, 2017.  Catherine lived in Hampton, Virginia all of her adult life. A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she moved to Hampton to accompany her husband to a career at NACA headquarters. She was a homemaker and mother of six children, active with PTAs and St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

Her husband, Edward T. Maher, predeceased her in 2006. She is survived by her children and their families; Kathleen T. Webster (Lee) of Holland, PA; Mary Anne Maher of Alexandria, VA; Edward T. Maher, Jr. of Hampton, VA; William J. Maher (Donna) of Moorestown, NJ; Margaret M. Krause (Lincoln) of Alexandria, VA; and Daniel J. Maher (Lanette) of Lumberton, TX; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and her sisters Teresa Mulroney and Jean Needham.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 1pm on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Hampton, with interment at Parklawn Memorial Gardens following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor in Richmond, Virginia.
