Catherine Keohane German, 94, widow of Chief Petty Officer Robert D. German, passed away Monday, March 24, 2014. Born in San Francisco, CA, she has been a resident of Hampton for 56 years. She retired from civil service in 1979 and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church .

Mrs. German is survived by her daughter, Diane Horner and her husband Carl of Hampton; grandchildren, Robert Horne and his wife Danilas of Yorktown, Catherine Tartabini and her husband Paul of Yorktown and Mildred "Millie" Crawford and her husband Steve of Danville; and eight great grandchildren, Jarred and Emma Horne, Elizabeth, Sarah and Julia Tartabini, and Mira, Claire and Kyle Crawford.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, March 28, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church by Rev. Sean Prince. Immediately following, the family will receive friends until 1:30 pm. Interment will be in Hampton National Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
