Catherine Nora Binniker, 65, died Friday, March 28, 2014. A native of Brooklyn, New York, she had been a Peninsula resident since 1986 where she was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. She retired as Executive Secretary for the 480 ^th Intelligence Wing at Langley Air Force Base in 2012 after more than 24 years of service.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, James; three children, James Binniker, Jr. and his wife, Karen of Bristow, VA, Rita White and her husband, David of Yorktown, and Brian Binniker of Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren, Brendan and Ryan Binniker and Alexandra and Haleigh White; her brother, Terrence Concannon and his wife, JoAnn of Neptune, NJ; her sisters, Mary Clark and her husband, Robert of Baldwin, NYand Jane Ricciardone and her husband, Dino of Seaside Heights, NJ; and many nieces and nephews.

A loving mother and grandmother, she will be greatly missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Noon, Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 7-9PM Wednesday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home and from 10:30am-Noon Thursday at church. Interment will take place in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
