Born in New Suffolk, N.Y. in 1924, Catherine became a Registered Nurse at St Johns Long Island City Hospital, N.Y.C. She met Lester L. Benton SFC while he was stationed at Fort Hamilton?, Brooklyn N.Y. in 1949. Married for 67 years, they traveled the world compliments of the U.S. Army. Each duty station was an adventure and every place was home.

She retired after 42 years as a Registered Nurse. They are blessed with three children, Lester (Candy), Margaret (Robert) and John. She had a wonderful life and was loved by all who knew her and now God has called her home.

A private funeral liturgy will be celebrated by Monsignor Barrett at St Joseph Catholic Church. Arrangements made by R Hayden Smith Funeral Home.
