Ms. Carolyn Muriel Bradley passed Sunday evening, December 11, 2022 surrounded by her family. She loved to travel, cook, entertain, and enjoy festive times with family and friends.

Throughout Carolyn's life, she shared her knowledge with her family and community as she listened and advised. An avid Beachcomber, the shores of the Chesapeake Bay will miss Carolyn's footprints as she eagerly shared and inspired generations with her wisdom of its waters, ships, birds, shells, dolphins, and wildlife.

During her career as a teacher and guidance counselor in several Hampton City Schools, her calming, steady presence encouraged young people to excel in challenging classes and professions. For much of Carolyn's life, she worshipped at First United Methodist Church Fox Hill, where she loved her church family and participated in many gatherings and trips. For all our lives, we will love, honor, and miss Carolyn as a dear family member and close friend who cared.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Rex Kenneth Bradley Sr. and Sallie Muriel; her brother and sister-in-law, Rex Kenneth Bradley Jr. and Evelyn; and is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Jerry Bradley and Jane; and her nieces and their spouses, Robin Jackson and Keith, Kerry Beaver and Mark, LeeAnn Champion and Chris, and Clare Melissa Bradley; her nephew and wife, Rex Bradley and Lauren; and their children and grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held later.
