Carol Coats Parker, 61, died at home surrounded by family Thursday, November 12, 2015. A lifelong resident of Hampton, she was a loving mother and friend to many. She was retired from 34 years of service at Newport News Waterworks as an accountant. Carol is survived by her sons, Adam Parker and Mark Parker; her mother, Joann Coats; and sister Susan Coats. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert V. Parker and father, Charles Coats. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 PM at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home 245 S. Armistead Ave, Hampton.
