Carl Ferdinand Burgdorf, II passed peacefully October 28th, 2023 after a brief illness.  Born February 8th, 1935 in Columbia, SC, he graduated from West Point Military Academy in 1957.  He served 20 years in the Army and was a decorated Vietnam Veteran.  After proudly serving his country, his second career was in the banking business.

Carl is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Katharine Bonfoey Burgdorf; daughter Kate Wallner, son-in-law Jon Wallner, grandchildren Katharine Wallner and Elizabeth Wallner; daughter Sallie Bauer, son-in -law Tom Bauer, grandchildren Carl Bauer and Sarah Bauer; daughter Tivie Cooper and grandson Joe Cooper; daughter Frances Burgdorf; brother Gus Burgdorf, sister-in-law Jane Burgdorf, nephew Carl Burgdorf and other extended family.
