Calvin Ralph Arnold, 88 died on June 14, 2016.  He had been a resident of Hampton since 1995, and was born on Sept 13, 1927 in Bartley WV to the late Joseph and Rebecca Arnold.  He was the last survivor of 10 siblings.  Ralph spent most of his youth in Jewel Valley, VA before getting a job with the A&P grocery stores as a meat cutter in Cleveland, Ohio where he met and married his devoted wife of 54 years, Klara (Prause).

In addition to Klara, Ralph is survived by his daughter Monica Miller and her husband Terry of Hampton, and son Mark Arnold and his wife Roberta of Cleveland, Ohio; grandchildren Austin and Kyle Miller and Ryan and Kaitlin Arnold.  The family would like to express special thanks to caregiver Amy McGraw for her care of Ralph these last 3 years.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Tues June 21, 2016 at 5pm at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Ave, Hampton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
