Brenda Cheryl Gruver, 58, died Wednesday, September 15, 2021. Born in Japan, Brenda had been a Hampton resident since 1987. A master stylist at Mane Life Salon in Newport News, she had formerly worked at Hair Therapy in Hampton and was previous owner of Studio 21 in Norfolk and Appearances in Newport News. She was a member of the Peninsula Women's Network and was a natural energy healer often know as the "Lazer Lady".

Brenda is survived by her life partner, Dr. Bill Seery; brothers, "D.J." Gruver and Brian Gruver; a niece, Stephanie Murphy; and three nephews, Ryan Gruver, Kyle Gruver, and Joshua Gruver.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 3-6pm on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at shelter #5 of the Colonies RV and Travel Park, 501 Fenwick Road, Fort Monroe, VA.

The family requests that memorial contributions be sent to the Cat Corner, Hampton.
