Bonnie Fay Heavener, 67, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026. Born in West Virginia to Edward F. Ware, Jr. and Frances Kimble Ware, Bonnie served in the Army and went on to earn her bachelor's degree and spent many years working as an accountant, a career she found both fulfilling and rewarding. She enjoyed tending to her flower gardens, dining out, and spending quiet time outdoors. An animal lover at heart, she cherished her dogs and cats, who brought her great comfort and companionship. Known for her strength and steady spirit, Bonnie held an unwavering devotion to her family and shared an especially close and treasured bond with her mother and father.

Preceded in death by her mother, Frances; brother, Gary Heavener; and father-in-law, Bernie Ruybal; she leaves to cherish her memory, father, Edward F. Ware, Jr.; her husband Jeffrey David Ruybal; sister, Diane Wright (Jeff); son, Robert Ruybal; nephew, Christopher Esada and niece, Natasha Sok (Paul); mother-in-law, Alice Ruybal; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Steve Ruybal, Cherie Bare, Cheryl Wright, Greg Ruybal, Mark Ruybal, Sharon Enriqez, and Joseph Ruybal; as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

A Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 11 AM, with a reception to follow at Cordier Hall.  A graveside service will follow at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veteran's Cemetery, Suffolk after the reception at 3 PM with Military Honors.
