Obituary

Bonnie Caison, 84, of Hampton, Virginia, passed away on October 5, 2015. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Daniel Glenn Caison. She is survived by her three sons, Michael and wife Cindy of Eastville, VA, Bruce and wife Tammy of Conifer, CO, and Timothy and wife Gwyn of Hampton, VA; grandsons, Chris Caison and wife April of Eastville, VA, Daniel Caison of Eastville, VA, Timothy Caison, II. of Virginia Beach, VA, Alex Caison of Hampton, VA and Nicholas Caison of Hampton, VA; granddaughters, Kerrie Ann Caison Bagg and husband Ian of Long Beach, CA, Alison Caison Kelley and husband Nathan of Richmond, VA, and Tiffany Caison of Conifer, CO; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Emma, and Caroline Caison and Finn Kelley. For approximately 30 years, Bonnie was a dedicated real estate agent, helping peninsula residents find their dream homes. She coordinated the annual Christmas bag giveaway for needy families, and helped spread Christmas cheer for on the Peninsula. She loved bowling, spending time in the outdoors with her sons, and traveling the world. Bonnie and her husband, Dan, were the owners and founders of Bo-Dan Kennels in the 1970's, and were recognized as one of the premier American Kennel Club breeders for show dogs, specifically Bichon Frise. Bo-Dan Kennel champions were featured in several books, including the Complete Bichon Frise and This is the Bichon Frise. The first imported American male champion was Bo-Dan's Regal Puff. Bonnie served as President of the NCO Wives Club in Yokota, Japan from 1965-1967. While in Japan, Bonnie volunteered her time greeting our wounded warriors on their journey home. Bonnie was active in the Women's International Bowling Congress (WIBC), and President of the local association for multiple years in the 1970's. She was a member of the Women's International Bowling Congress Hall of Fame. In 1991, Bonnie won the distinct honor of Virginia Peninsula Women's Council of REALTORS Woman of the Year.
