Billy Lee Abel passed away at 37 years old on June 19,  2023.  Billy Lee was born February 2, 1986, in Fredericksburg, Virginia to parents Angela and William Abel and spent his younger years between Norfolk and North Carolina.  Billy Lee was a handyman in all traits when it came to people, to working or helping people; and he knew how to do construction, electrical, cut trees, you name it, Billy Lee could do it.  He was a true country boy, loved spending time in the woods and had a love for fishing like no other.

Billy Lee was preceded in death by his father, William Caton Abel.  He is survived and missed by his mother, Angela Abel; his bonus mom Joi Barnette; his children Kaliegh, Annalee, and Cody; his siblings, Kimberly, Dennis, Betty Jo, and Aaron, as well as multiple aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Avenue, Hampton, VA 23669. Flowers are welcome and can be sent to the funeral home.

There will be a repass after the service at 1:00 PM at Kim's house, 327 Locust Avenue, Hampton, VA 23661.
