Beverly Youngs Robinson, 94, passed away November 27, 2023 in Newport News, VA with her two daughters by her side. The daughter of Ralph and Myra Youngs, Beverly grew up in Arlington, VA and enjoyed sailing as a youth. She graduated from Mary Washington College in 1950 and received a Master's degree in Education from ODU. Beverly taught 22 years in the Hampton school system and was herself a lifelong learner, enjoying reading, bridge, Jeopardy, crossword puzzles and bird watching. She was 56 year member of P.E.O. (Chapter F) and an accomplished knitter and quilter. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, J. C. Robinson and son Thomas Robinson. She is survived by: her brother Ralph Youngs (Sue), her children Morgan Hapeman (Skip), Alex Robinson (Janice), Cutler Robinson (Beth) and Linda Holmes (Randy), and by her grandchildren, Sarah Robinson, Rachel Hoffman, Matthew Robinson, Rebecca Robinson, Ruth Abbisett, Cameron Robinson, Meredith Robinson and Ken Holmes, as well as five great-grandchildren. The family is especially grateful for the wonderful care provided to Beverly by the staff and nurses of The Chesapeake. A private burial will be at Parklawn Cemetery 2551 N Armistead Ave, Hampton, on Thursday, December 7 at 11:00am, and a Memorial Service is planned for 2:00pm January 2nd , 2024 at The Chesapeake 955 Harpersville Rd, Newport News, VA.
