Betty Alice Overman Wood, 75, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018.  A lifelong resident of the Peninsula, she graduated in 1961 from Newport News High School and she was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Betty is survived by her husband of 54 years, John B. Wood, III; children, Joy Beth Wood DeNoon (Scott) and Hubert Blair Wood (Lauren) and grandchildren, Emily Elizabeth DeNoon Bradberry (Caleb) and Morgan Blair Wood.

The family will receive friends form 11-1:00 PM Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Liberty Baptist Church.  Immediately following at 1:00 PM, Betty's life will be remembered at the Church by Pastor Joe Hunt.
