Betty Hemphill Miller, 82, died Tuesday, September 8, 2015. Born in Marion, NC, she had been a Hampton resident for 58 years. Betty retired from the Hampton Coliseum as catering and concessions manager. Betty is survived by her children, Michael H. Miller (Tammy), Stephen J. Miller (Nikki) and Sherri McQuillan (Jim); sister, Marjorie Miller; grandchildren, Katelan Sullivan, Ashley Sullivan and Jeremy McQuillan; and her dog Bucky. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 12, 2015 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home with interment to follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 10-11 AM.
