A bright star fell from the sky on Nov 8 when Betty Ingle joined her husband of 56 years, Bobby in the forever after. Betty treasured many things in life however her family was her greatest treasure. Anyone fortunate enough to meet her or receive one of her exuberant hugs was immediately considered part of her family. Betty had a bold strength of character to go along with her huge heart.
Many she met will remember her for her original style and her amazing crocheting ability. Betty was generous with her homemade blankets and seasonal pins she crocheted for every holiday. During the holidays her family and many enjoyed her homemade bread along with the best pizza in Hampton on birthdays. Betty and her husband Bobby were longtime residents of the Hampton roads area, traveling many places worldwide finally setting in Hampton for the last 25 years of her life.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Pat, her husband, Bobby Ingle, her sister Sally Edwards and she leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Nancy Marshall (Gary) and Deborah Cain; sons, Bobby Ingle, Jr, Kenny Ingle (Donna), and David Ingle, Debbie Costello; grandchildren, Tim Kemp (Marcy), Rachael Liles (Adam), Sarah Cain, Adam Marshall (Cassie), Matthew Marshall (Jennifer), Brandon Ingle (Elisabeth), Amber Allen (Taylor), Donnie Smith, and James Smith; great-grandchildren, Celyna, Layne, Madelynn, Astrid, Jayden, Jaxen, Faith-Lynn, Gray, Tanner, December, Kylee, Chris.
A celebration of life is scheduled from 2-4 pm on December 8th in the Family Center at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 99 E Mercury Blvd, Hampton VA 23669.
Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Hampton Fire & rescue, 22 Lincoln St 6th Floor Hampton VA 23669 C/O Chris Gallager memo Station 10. Her family is forever grateful they had another year and a half to spend with her thanks to fire station 10.
