Betty Roberson Edwards, 79, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021.  Born in Williamston, NC, she has been a lifelong resident of Hampton Roads.  She was a faithful member of Faith Community Church in Newport News.  Betty loved spending time with family especially around the holidays.  She retired as a Staffing Specialist from the Naval Weapons Station in Yorktown, VA in 1993 after 30 years.

Betty is survived by her husband of 37 years, Ronald P. Edwards;  Her son Walter Crone (Robyn) and children Rachel Loftis, Suzanne Crone, Elizabeth Padre, Rebekah and Jennifer Crone - Her son Warren Crone (Claudia) and children Matthew, Cynthia Crone and Erica Kain. - Her step daughter Kari Weston (Bart) and children Kelli Crawford, Meredith Voelkel and Connor Weston - Her step-daughter Kristi Clark (Ken) and sons Jonathon Whitacre, Jameson, Brandon, Preston and Peyton Burchfield - Her step daughter Ronda Moody (Robert) and children Brittany Shively (Lucas) and Trenton Moody. Her stepson James Edwards (Robin) and sons Evan and Wyatt Edwards. Eighteen great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2-3:30 PM Sunday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Ave. in Hampton.  A graveside service will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Monday at Hampton Memorial Gardens 155 Butler Farm Rd.
