On September 19, 2025, at the age of 83, the Lord reached down and gently lifted up Bettie Huff's soul and took her home. Her long battle with Cancer was over.

She was a life long resident of Hampton. She graduated from Hampton High School and married her husband in 1960. Together they raised their family.

During her lifetime she enjoyed spending her summers at the beach, listening to music, reading and being with family. She really enjoyed supporting her grandchildren in their various activities.

Bettie leaves behind her husband of 64 years, James Franklin  Huff; three children, Tracie Parker(Ralph), James Huff Jr.(Tanya), and Tammie H. Castner(Mike); seven grandchildren, Samantha Parker French (Matthew), Stephen Parker, Jessie Castner Giorgetti(Stephen), Jacob Castner, Ryan Huff, Amanda Huff Hassell(Maxwell), and Acadia Huff; and two great-grandchildren, Alice Parker and Saige Hassell; her brother Freddie Guilford (Phyllis). She was preceded in death by her parents, Percival and Lula Chadwick Guilford.

She will always be remembered as a strong woman, wife and mother who always put her family first.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10 am, Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Ave, Hampton with interment to follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The American Cancer Society.
