Betsyann Wyatt King, 93, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2013. Born

October 30, 1919, she resided her entire life in the Buckroe Beach area of Hampton,

Virginia.

Betsy is survived by her husband of sixty-four years, Thomas Hamilton King.She is

also survived by her sons: Richard Ardell Everett, Jr. (Camelia) and William Wyatt Everett

(Faye); grandchildren: Alicia Bowen (Walter), Sandra Taylor (Mark), Krista Barnes (James),

Elizabeth Harlan (Matthew), and William Everett, Jr. (Sharyn); and great grandchildren: Laura

and Haley Bowen, Grace and Nathaniel Barnes, and Ashley and Carson Taylor.

Betsy was predeceased by her parents William Thomas Wyatt, Jr., one of the owners

of Wyatt Brothers, a men's clothing store in Hampton, and Alleyne Cunningham Wyatt, a sister

Barbara Wyatt Chandler, and a son Thomas Hamilton King, Jr.

Betsy was a graduate of Hampton High School and Longwood College, member of

Hampton Baptist Church, kindergarten teacher, substitute teacher at Buckroe Junior High

School, bridge player, and great cook. She and her family and friends spent many happy hours

at Buckroe Beach playing in the Chesapeake Bay and building "pooch" castles in the sand.

Happy times and delicious meals were served to our family at Betsy and Tom's home.

A graveside service officiated by Dr. Jay Russ will be held Tuesday, September 3

at 1pm at Clark Cemetery.
