Nerita "Beth" R. Hearp passed away March 3, 2026. She was born in the Philippines to Corenlio Rutor and Enrica Ruga Rutor on August 8, 1935. Nerita was lovingly known as "Beth" to her family and friends and was the youngest of five children. Beth and her husband Bobby Hearp enjoyed over 60 years of marriage together. She was a devoted Air Force wife during Bobby's 23 years of service and continued to serve in her own way working the flight line kitchen at Langley AFB and then in the cafeteria at Phoebus High School. Beth's love language was food, she loved cooking Filipino food for her family.  The minute you entered her home, she was asking you if you wanted something to eat. Beth and Bobby lived in Hampton for over 50 years and made a life and raised a family in Fox Hill. They were active members of First United Methodist Fox Hill Church. Beth loved to mow her lawn and plant flowers and tomatoes in the summer.  In the past she crocheted beautiful table cloths and made quilts. Beth will be remembered as the sweetest and most adored woman and she was loved by all she met.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby Hearp; four children, Theresa Pascoe (Rick, deceased), Gina Simpson (Berry), Earl Hearp (Cathy), and David Hearp (Jada); grandchildren, Leanne Rainey (Monty), Amanda Colón (Juan), Morgan Downs (Michael), Ashley Sims (Mark), Cody Simpson, Corrie Leeper (Rich), Amber Stokes, Alexis Stokes, Jayla Hearp, Jarrell Mays, and Ellie Lynch; and eighteen great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home on Sunday, March 8, 2026 from 4-6PM. A graveside service will be held at Clark Cemetery, Fox Hill on Monday, March 9 at noon.
