Bernard A. Hopkins, Sr. of Hampton got promoted on March 15, 2023. Born on October 9, 1964, he grew up in Fox Hill his entire life. An avid fisherman, he loved being on the water with a rod in his hand. Always willing to lend a hand to friends and family, he had many gifts from mechanics to fishing and welding as well as having a green thumb.

Preceded in death by his father, OB Hopkins and his mother, Mary "Jane" Hopkins; left to cherish his memory is his son, Bernard A. Hopkins, Jr.; his niece, Tracy Welak; and a lot of friends and neighbors.
